History of Manuel Antonio National Park
Manuel Antonio National Park is a small biological island. It was established in 1972 by the Costa Rican government who wanted to preserve the country's priceless wildlife. Though Manuel Antonio National Park is the smallest park in the country, it is the most visited due to its charming combination of rainforest, beaches, coral reefs and wildlife.
The fauna of Manuel Antonio National Park is diverse: there are 109 species of mammals and 184 birds. Among the most outstanding are the raccoon, coati, the agouti, two-toed sloth, three-toed sloth, white-faced monkeys, howler monkeys and Titi monkey (endangered species endemic to the park).
You can also see bird species such as Toucans, Scarlet Macaws, Pelicans, Tanagers, Ospreys, Kingfishers and the Yellow Crowned Night Heron. It is also possible to see Iguanas, Lizards, Snakes and countless varieties of insects. These are just some of the features of the Manuel Antonio National Park that make visiting it with a naturalist tour guide to be an unforgettable experience.
About this Tour to Manuel Antonio National Park:
This is exactly the same tour as the Manuel Antonio Park Group Tour. The only fact that makes this option tour to be different is the fact that this option does not include the transportation service, so you'll have to meet us at the Manuel Antonio National Park Entrance Gate. If you drive your own car, then you'll have to pay for the parking lot fee.
Important note:
Please notice that the cost of the parking fee is NOT covered in this price, as the park does NOT have its own parking, so all options for parking are private outside the gate and fairly close to the park (you would be paying for parking on the same day of your tour which cost is approximately $6 all day for one car).
As soon as you book this option we will be giving you the confirmation with full detailed information of our location (the place where we should meet).
