Zip lines, Suspension Bridges & Buttlerflies

This tour is an amazing combination of ziplines, hanging bridges and a butterfly garden. The activity takes place in the fabulous Selvatura park, surrounded by the evergreen Monteverde Cloud Forest.

The Selvatura Canopy Tour of Monteverde has among the longest cables in all of Costa Rica and is the only Zipline Tour that takes place deep in the virgin cloud forests. The activity has 15 cables and 18 platforms. This way we cross through the virgin cloud forest of Monteverde in a journey of more than 2 miles, flying at the middle of the gigantic trees in the virgin habitat of the Monteverde cloud forest.

The tour begins with an important introduction and presentation of the crew for the operation of the activity. The guides will give you an explanation about the safety rules and instructions, to enjoy the adventure to the fullest. After this introductory talk we can start our adventure!

The guides will assemble the equipment using the highest quality harnesses, and we will make the first cable. The first cable is short and low of height (our purpose is to break the ice and make you feel fearless). Then we will make the longer and higher cables. Your adrenaline will rise up to the maximum levels and you will be able to enjoy one of the most beautiful forests habitat worldwide.

The Selvatura Canopy Tour includes the famous Tarzan swing, which is optional. This is highly recommended for real adventurers and adrenaline lovers.

During this incredible tour you will also enjoy the fabulous suspension bridges that cross through the middle of the virgin forest of Monteverde. You can walk slowly on the suspension bridges to appreciate nature while observing the incredible scenes of the cloud forest, as well you can also find a lot of animals and birds. In total there are 8 suspension bridges which cover approximately 2 miles, suspended on the top of the canopy forest. The height of the bridges is about 100 feet from the ground level.

Selvatura Park has an incredible botanical butterflies garden. Here you can observe butterflies, hummingbirds and different types of plants. You can also learn a lot about butterflies and their biological history. As a relevant fact for visitors, the butterfly garden at Selvatura Park is one of the largest butterfly gardens in Costa Rica.

• Maximum weight allowed for the tour is 280 pounds or a maximum abdominal waist of 120 centimeters.
• Come prepared in case of rain (the tour is not canceled due to rain except for a storm).
